Position Title: Cashier/Receptionist Department: Administration

Reports To: Senior Accountant

Hours: A Shift, 7am to 7pm Sunday through Tuesday, 7am to 1pm on Wednesday

          B Shift, 1pm to 7pm Wednesday, 7am to 7pm, Thursday through Saturday

*Subject to change by Direct Supervisor and/or upper Management. Overtime may be required with or without notice. Traveling may be required.


Greet and direct customers as needed.

Cashier Parts and Service invoices

Responsible for processing cash, Credit Card and various check types of payments.

Send and distribute mail when necessary.

Responsible for changing out the cash drawer daily.

File parts and service invoices as necessary.

Answer multiple phone lines professionally, directing caller to the appropriate person or department. Take messages when people are out of office or on another line. Responsible for getting message to individual.

Meet and greet customers, answer questions, and take messages when necessary.

Open, stamp, sort, and distribute all incoming mail. Process and stamp all outgoing mail. Responsible for sending department mail to other dealership locations.

Order postage and Fed Ex boxes and labels. Responsible for keeping Fed Ex machine in working order. Send and receive Fed Ex packages, directing them to appropriate persons.

Send and receive facsimile messages, directing to appropriate person.

Maintain communications system with employees receiving calls or fax messages.

File invoices (daily and monthly), for Service and Parts Departments along with other filing and/or sorting assigned by Management.

Perform all other duties as assigned. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS Provide clerical support where needed. Answer telephone inquiries. Comply with Company policies and procedures, not to exclude Safety guidelines.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY Skills in computer operation, 10 key, cash management, interpersonal communication, credit, and accounting. Knowledge of spreadsheets, CDK, and MicroSoft Word helpful. Ability to listen and communicate with customers, vendors, and co-workers. Ability to write/type letters as needed. Ability to operate all necessary office equipment.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS The position is located in the office environment. The employee will occasionally lift up to and over 10 pounds. Employee may spend long periods of time sitting, operating office equipment or moving about freely. Mobility of walking, standing, and bending is frequent. Dexterity, hearing, talking, and visual requirements are constant. Must be able to meet public and make decisions. Exposure to dust and dirt.

QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS Education A high school diploma and/or GED is required. Additional training in accounting and computers. Experience A minimum of three years experience in a cashier environment is preferred.

Licenses or Certificates A valid driver s license is required.

Appearance/Uniforms All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. (Specific standards available)
