Job Summary
It is the responsibility of this position to perform inspections on welded products and structures that are in progress and on completed jobs. The purpose of the Quality Control Inspector is to ensure that Customer Products meet or exceed Customer s expectations. Further, it is a requirement of this position to be fully conversant with welding processes to ensure welded products are free of defects. It is the goal of the position to establish Customer as the most highly respected process equipment supplier in the markets and for the clients we serve.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
This includes but is not limited to the following:

Accurately perform and document quality inspections.
Assure that products conform to the applicable drawings, codes, and specifications.
Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts
Assure all WIP processes comply with ASME code and QMS requirements
Verify accuracy of measurement equipment
Accurately follow and record Inspection Test Plan data
Professionally assist NDE Technicians, Authorized Inspectors and TPI s
Assist to create and assemble Job Books and organization of MTR s and drawings
Verify incoming products received meet dimensional and material requirements
Assist to implement ISO 9000, internal auditing, other process initiatives
Organize and clean all work areas and assist with 5S activities
Direct restocking of products/ chemicals used in NDE processes
Prepare written request for contracted NDE, identify welds for technicians
Organization of RT film, repair documents, and tracking of defects
Reliable and punctual attendance
Prepared in advance for scheduled meetings and training sessions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
This position requires successful use of precision measurement tools and gages, including paint inspection tools. Must accurately perform layout and fitting inspections to blueprints and P&ID s. Must be able to calculate arc lengths and angles for layout of cylindrical vessels. Class appropriate of experience working in an ASME code shop, with a minimum of 3 years in inspection. Two years in a related technical program may apply to the experience requirement. Minimum education requirement is H.S. Geometry or trigonometry and NDE Certifications (SNT-TC-1A): VT Level II or AWS CWI, MT Level II, PT Level II, RT Level II are preferred but Class appropriate. Knowledge of ASME and ANSI Codes is a must. Proficiency with computer applications, including Quality applications, MS Office applications, ERP systems or their derivatives is highly encouraged. Experience in an ISO 9000 environment is highly encouraged.

Working Environment
Heavy construction and fabrication environment; constantly. Office environment: routinely. Will include significant customer and Third-party Inspection contact, and some travel may be expected.

Pay $20-25 hourly Depending on Experience
